Malawi 2009 Parliamentary and Presidential Elections-Accredited Service Providers

The Malawi Electoral Commission held a meeting with representatitves of Umbrella Civil Society organizations to consult on criteria for accrediting service providers. The meeting took place on 13th May 2008. Following this consultive meeting, the Commission has accredited 69 organizations to conduct civic and voter education during the period leading to the 2009 elections.

These service providers will use the acceditation certificate to source funding from their traditional and other donors based on proposals.
